Sunday School Plan for Fall 2021
During this time of continuing uncertainty, we want to do our best to minister to our children in a manner that feels comfortable and safe. To that end, this is our plan for elementary Sunday School Fall 2021:
* Sunday School begins October 3 and will run from 9:45-10:45 am (drop off at 9:30, pick up at 10:45 am)
* Drop off and Pick up will on The Lawn at 81 South Main St. Please park in the lot across the street from the sanctuary.
* Classes will meet OUTSIDE as long as it is possible. Please dress the children for the weather (plus one layer;) and send your child with a towel to sit on (PreK-3rd). While outside, we will maintain distancing so that masks will not be required.
* Classes will be held INSIDE when the weather outside turns frightful (rain, snow, or just too cold). Each grade will meet in one of the largest rooms on campus (one grade per room). (e.g. Potter Room, Sanctuary, Music Room, etc.) While inside, we will maintain distancing and masks will be required.
The protocols regarding Covid-19 will be communicated regularly, shared upon request, and updated according to relevant changes in circumstances.
Regardless of the classroom setting (outdoor or indoor), parents are expected to monitor their child’s health and follow CDC guidelines regarding Covid symptoms, exposures, and testing when deciding whether or not to send them to Sunday School or any other APC ministry program or event.
